Carlsberg is a Founding Partner of Wembley Stadium and the Official Beer Partner. The four year deal marks a significant investment for the brand and adds to Carlsberg’s already impressive portfolio of football sponsorships which include official beer of the England team and official sponsors of The FA Cup.
The partnership includes stadium pouring rights and gives Carlsberg the opportunity to offer tickets to all events taking place in the stadium including The FA Cup Final, England Internationals and music events.
Carlsberg is committed to football at all levels of the game through it’s official beer status with the England Team, The FA Cup, club sponsorship of Liverpool FC and its involvement in non-league football.
Facts about Carlsberg and Wembley
There is 4,000,000 m3 of space under the new Wembley roof. This is the equivalent of 7 billion pints of Carlsberg, or enough Carlsberg to fill 1600 Olympic-sized swimming pools.
There are 90,000 seats inside the new stadium. Placed end to end, they would stretch from Wembley Stadium all the way to the nearest Carlsberg brewery in Northampton.
The new Wembley Stadium has the facilities to pour 40,000 pints per 15 mins. That’s 2,666 pints served every minute.
At peak selling times (i.e. England football matches!) 5 million pints of Carlsberg can be sold in one day across the whole of the UK.
Each main beer service point has the ability to dispense 4 pints of beer in less than 20 seconds, at a constant 3 degrees, using a leading edge Glycol cooled beer reticulation system.
When lit on a clear evening, the Arch will be seen from Canary Wharf – 13 miles away, or the equivalent of 116,220 pints of Carlsberg end to end.
To launch the sponsorship Carlsberg produced 90,000 limited edition bottles to represent each seat in the stadium.
